Hello Ladies (and Gentlemen),
I just received my quote for my wedding cake from the Grand Floridian. It will serve 30 people. How much did everyone pay for theirs? Our quote was $275. Is this normal? Is it high? Should we be thankful its only $275? :confused3 We're just wondering. Any insight you could give us to wedding cake prices would be great. Thank you all so much! :teeth:

Ive just been given a list of prices for wedding cakes for a custom wedding. The cheapest opton is $425. They work it out on a per person basis for customs at a minimum of 50 people, the cheapest one is $8.50 per person.

That sounds about right. I think the intimate cakes are the same price. I got a sheet cake for 40 (super simple), and I am paying $120. For a wedding cake, $275 seems fair (by Disney standards at least).

That sounds like a good price. We upgraded our Intimate cake to a custom cake and it could have easily served 30 people. It was $265 but that was last year, and of course prices always go up!

Thanks everyone!
Jen,
Where did you do your dinner? I see you got married at the Wilderness Lodge and the Artist Point is where we're doing out dinner. Did you go there too? Is it as beautiful as I hope it is? What do you think?

Yes, Artist Point is wonderful! You'll really like it. We had our rehearsal dinner there. Technically there isn't a rehearsal for an Intimate but we did a quick run through for my daddy and my MOH and then had dinner at AP. There were only 6 of us so we just ordered off the regular menu. The food and service are excellent and it is a beautiful restaurant. They gave us a "magical moment" certificate for our wedding rehearsal dinner :teeth:

We didn't have a dinner after the wedding. We wanted to be alone so we had a private meal in our room and everyone else went off and did their own thing (DTD, dinner, parks, etc.). We met up with everyone again the next morning at Whispering Canyon Cafe for a good-bye brunch, which was so great, everyone loved that!

Best Wishes :goodvibes
