Intimate Vow renewal,DVC member,some questions....

Hi!
DH and I are looking into renewing our vows this coming Nov. We would only have about 7 guests so we would do the Intimate Wedding. I see that the package includes resort stay and park passes. We are DVC members and AP holders. Do they have a package without the resort and park passes?
I plan on calling tomorrow to book but I though someone here might have an answer for me quicker than waiting till the morning!!LOL

Also, are kids counted as guests for the limit of 8 people? I will have 4 kids under 9.

Disney has what they call the 'intimate add-on' package which you can book once you already have your rooms booked. I believe they still require the 4 night minimum stay. When you call and book the wedding, you just have to have your reservation number handy so they can verify you'll be staying on property.

Kids under 10 are not included in your guest count.

Thanks for the info, but it leads me to another question!
I only have a ressie for the weekend so far at my home resort. The week I want to do the renewal I can't book until 7 months out because we want to book at the BW and that's not our home resort. I am afraid if I wait till I have the ressie, 7 months out, my date I want for my vow renewal will be booked!! Do you think the ressie for the weekend will do to book and hold the date?

Maybe book at your home resort first and then switch your ressie? You can do that 11 months out?

Another option is to too maybe a value and have a confirmation number. You can call and cancel that up to five days before check-in date and still get your money back. But it will serve the purpose of showing a four-night stay. We only had SSR booked three nights for our wedding and had to book WL while waiting for AP rates for the rest of our stay. We ended up booking CR with an AP discount and just had to call our EM and give her the new ressie number.

I called and was told that Nov. was wide open and I would be fine if I called back and booked it in April once I had my confirmation # for my DVC stay. It has to be for at least 4 nights. Then I would be able to book the add on pkg. at $2350. No deposit, but it has to be paid in full 30 days prior to the date.
