Intimate or Custom

Other than how many people you can invite, what is the difference between intimate and custom weddings? I will probably have between 10 and 12 guests. Also, I was looking at the wish book, do these minimum amounts you have to spend, apply to both types of weddings?

Other than the guest numbers, the biggest difference is the cost and ammenities included in that cost. The Wishes/Custom minimums start at $10k (and go up for specific days of the week, etc.). The Escape/Intimate starts at $2950 for most of the locations (or $3900 for the Pavilion). With the Wishes wedding you can have a full reception and other ammenities. The Escape wedding really only provides for a cake & champagne reception however many intimate brides add dessert parties or Wishes or Illuminations cruises, etc.

The Wish Book is kind of deceiving as it was primarily created with custom weddings in mind. However, intimate brides can use it to help them choose any "extras" they might decide to add.

Have you contacted Disney yet? When you are assigned a coordinator, you might discuss your thoughts with them and they can help you decide which option would best fit your dreams!

I know for Intimate weddings the minimun expenditure is a lot less than a custom

The wish book is kind of deceiving, you are right. I couldn't figure out what the difference was between the two types of weddings because I thought those minimum spending amounts applied to both. Now I see what the amenities are for the intimate wedding and that you can add enhancements.

I haven't called Disney yet but I am going to soon.
