Intimate: Number of Guests

Hi all!

The Intimate wedding website shows contradictory information. On the main page, it states that the max. number of guests is 18. When one opens the Wish Book, it still shows some 2005 dates, and notes that the max. number of guests is 20.

Can anyone confirm which one it is?

And/or, does anyone now how flexible, if at all, they are about this number?

It seems to be that there is a very large gap between the Intimate and Custom weddings if you are not having 100+ guests.

An intimate is for the bride and groom and 18 of their guests totalling 20. They are not flexible on this number and if there are more than that number showing up on the day they will be turned away. I am sure that I read something on here about another bride that happened to. Even children are counted towards those 18 guests.

Yep Cinderella2006 has it right. Also some locations accomodate even less guests like Sunset Pointe which can only accomodate 8 guests.

Does anyone know if there is any place from the Yacht Club where a few extra people could view the ceremony from somewhat afar? What are the chances, for example, of getting one of the balcony rooms that face that gazebo? I'm talking about 2 extra people! It's heartbreaking!

With the yacht club they block it off where the walkway meets the boarded area so they wouldnt be able to see much there. There is a possibility of them getting a gazebo view room but they are not guarenteed until check in.

I feel your frustration. We have a few extra as well because we choose Sunset Point. What we decided to do was to have uor ceremony alone with no guests ( which we happen to think is very romantic) and then have an Illuminations dessert party with about 40 guests. That way no one is left out and we get the perfect day.

Just an FYI...although most children do count towards the total, much like all other things Disney, children under 3 do NOT.

Is that what your EM told you? Or did you hear it from another bride?

Maybe it's a just another case of Disney doing what they feel like, when the feel like it?! But I have a total of 23 including a 1 year old and two 2 year olds (one of which is my daughter and flower girl!). I've mentioned it numerous times (even on the contract when I signed it)...but I'm thinking now it might be a good idea to bring copies of the emails from my EM OK'ing it along with my contract when we go down! Just to be safe!

Package Elements will provide you with the details so to what is included. If you go to the Intimate Wishbook you will find the prices for the intimate weddings (which start at $2450) as well as element options.

There should be options for brides that have between 20 guests and 100.

I totally agree with you -- we wanted something for about 25-30 people but didn't want to spend 10K b/c we are having an at home reception. So, we are just making the intimate work. However, just to put my.02 in -- I am having 2 children under 3 at my intimate and I don't believe they are counting them towards my # of guests. But, I do think sometimes it just depends on who you talk to and what day of the week it is!! (Unfortunately! )

I am only having 24 guests for my wedding and the custom package suits me fine. However i do agree that the minimum is a bit steep and should maybe be lowered for morning weddings with brunch receptions or something.


Another thing that does annoy me slightly is that if you are a custom the smallest cake is for 50 people! I only have 26 people include me and my fiance, what will i do with all the extra cake
