Intimate Invitations?

When does Disney send out the save the dates/invitations/whatever they call them to the guests? Also, what do they look like?

well, i guess I could have dreamed it. I am going to try to find the place that said it. But, as I recall, somewhere in all the blurb of wedding information I have found out there, someone said that disney sent out a letter or something to each of the guests letting them know the proper information, etc.

Disney sends out Save The Dates and several other mailing to guests for custom weddings. I have not heard of any mailings for intimate weddings.

Also, regardless of who receives them, they are definately not invitations. They are to inform your guests of the date and location of the ceremony and reception, but no times are listed and it also states that invitations will follow.

Save the Dates are available for custom wedings only. Disney mails them out to your guests soon after you sign your contract. Disney does not mail invitations, you still need to mail them to your guests. Maybe you can ask your em where you can get cute Disney invites for your intimate wedding.

Have you thought about making your own invitations? You can get some nice blank invitations from Office Depot and make them right on your computer. Being that you are having an intimate, this may be a good solution, instead of paying hundreds for more invitations than you need, or going without them.

not a bad idea Aurora! I have done this before-and been paid for it, believe it or not, so surely I can do it now. I want to first check with my fiance's cousin who just so happens to own a wedding shop. We originally were going to have a "typical" wedding and bring him a lot of business, so at least I could get some invites from him and he may be able to give us a good deal. But, you are right, I don't want to spend a lot when it's not really all that necessary anyway with it just being family.

Disney does not send out save the dates for intimates and when I asked my EM she suggested I check a carlton card supplier. Instead I found on ebay a lady who does save the date magnets w/ your choice of cinderella picture on it. They turned out cute and my family loved them.
