I am six weeks away and I have began making packing lists and getting ideas for transporting my dress and all that fun stuff. But, i feel like I should be doing more or that I am forgetting things.

I am also preparing our announcements this weekend to send out when we get home. Hmmmmmmmm.....what else?

When did you start confirming ADR's and reservations for hotels, extras, and wedding stuff?

I just am eerily calm right now, and I feel like I should be more busy.... :rotfl:

So what were you doing six weeks out?

It's funny, I am a total perfectionist and I love to make lists and plan, plan, plan and I know I did that up to the day of our wedding, but now it's a year later and I can't remember how those days and weeks leading up to the wedding went!? :confused3

I had a bridal shower about 6 weeks before
I know we were making the announcements (about 75 of them - ugh - that was such a chore!)
Making sure we had all the clothes, shoes, essentials that we needed for the honeymoon
I had my final gown fitting about 6 weeks before
I know we were agonizing over the music selections which is hilarious because I didn't even hear the music on our day - he could have been playing the death march and I wouldn't have noticed!
Made sure my MOH had her dress all set with alterations and such
I'm sure I confirmed with my hairdresser somewhere in the month before the wedding
I know I called WL about our room once a week every week to get a king bed and we still ended up with 2 beds, which actually worked out better, since my MOH stayed with me the night before the wedding and after the wedding we ended up using the second bed for my gown, all of the wedding decorations, etc.

And I'm positive I was totally stressing the small stuff. It's natural, but in hindsight it was probably very unnecessary. I'm sure you're on top of things so try to relax and enjoy being engaged for the next several weeks. You'll never have that "engaged" feeling or be able to say "my fiance" ever again ;) Enjoy it! That's the best advice my mom gave me before she passed - enjoy the feeling, every moment of it, even the stress, you'll never have it again and it goes by so fast!!
