Interviewing for the first time ... in 18 years!

My dear friend lost her husband to cancer and lost her job to downsizing in the past year. He was only 39 and they have 3 kids, 5 to 16 years old.

A position came up in a local TV station that has her name all over it. She's a WRECK because she hasn't interviewed in so long. She worked at this job since she graduated and she's afraid she's out of touch with interviewing.

Please say a prayer or give good thoughts to my friend. She has her interview tomorrow at 1. After all she's been through, and going through, she could use some good luck!

Oh, I hope it comes through for her. I can't imagine being widowed so young, with all those young children too. God bless her.

Her appt was at 10 so she's there now. I'm as nervous as she is. There is a small group of people who do what we do here in Atlanta, and we usually do it forEVER. The woman interviewing my friend has done it for 27 years, I've done it for 30. My friend's experience will be impressive to them, especially since it was with a competitor and she only lost her job because they moved the whole dept to a hub.

I wish I could hire her but we're having a hiring freeze, big time. I'll report back when I hear from her.
