We had 100 points that would have been lost after Covid, so we opted to bank them with Interval. I finally was able to secure a reservation at a resort but their online system does not show our reservation even though we have a confirmation number. I am apprehensive about this trip, and considering canceling. Does anyone have any experience with Interval reservations, and is there a website that you can retrieve the reservation, make request, etc? Any info would be appreciated.

Try calling the resort directly. They might be able to provide you with a confirmation number that works for their reservation system.

That's how II to DVC exchanges work. You call MS and identity yourself as an in-bound II exchange and they will give you a confirmation number that works for MDE.

In most cases, the reservation number on the II confirmation is not the same as any internal reservation number, so it is not surprising that you cannot use that to look up the stay. When did you confirm it, and when are you supposed to check in? There is often a short lag between confirmation at Interval and when the resort is notified.

Interval handles tons of these, and the resorts understand how it works. I generally just show up with my confirmation in hand and it all works out. If you want additional peace of mind, give the resort a call.

Looking for some tips for using Interval Exchange. I've searched by location and a very broad time frame but don't come up with much that is interesting. I've also tried "Place an exchange request" but it defaults to 4 bedroom and even though I opened and closed the browser several times it won't let me chose a smaller unit GRRRR. It would likely be just 2 adults and a teen travelling so we really only need a 1 bedroom.

I have 50 points banked in II and am willing to use by DVC points (I've got 344 available) BUT despite several attempts to book something, nothing has come available.

Any tips would be wonderful.

PS - I loved the old Exchange system - it seemed much easier to book a specific locations/timeframe
