I'm guessing this has been asked many a time and I'm sorry if it has been, but I just did a search on this forum and saw nothing recent that answered my question.

I'm going to WDW next month and will be staying at both SSR and AKV (it will be the first time I travel to the World on points, my maiden DVC trip). On the Sunday I'll be there however, I'm likely going to have to work. That day we are also switching from one locale to the other.

Are there any internet options at either place? For instance I know on some Disney properties (at DL at least, wireless is available at some of the poolside bars and wired high speed is free in the rooms).

I could conceivably work at one of the business centers (CR, right?), but my goal is to use my own computer because I will likely have to do some audio editing and I doubt many public computers have the software I'll need for that.

All WDW resorts offer wired in-room high speed for about $10 per 24 hour period.

Thanks.

If I'm resort hopping, will the code I use in the morning at SS be good at AKV? And are there wireless access points in common areas?

I don't know if the code will move from resort to resort...some WDW resorts have a wireless area in the lobby...but to my knowledge it isn't free, either. I would guess that the convention hotels are more apt to have wireless areas.

Thanks.

You don't get a "code" when you use your wired in-room internet. It's billed directly to your room. If you were to go to somebody's room at AKV that same day and connected, you'd be hit with another $9.95 charge.

Also, while some resorts have wireless internet in the common areas, it is also a $9.95 charge, and the two are not related so if you did both you would be charged for each.

Are you sure about this... I know that HHI and VB have free wireless in the common areas. Maybe WDW resorts are different? :confused3 I haven't been to a WDW resort for a few years.

Yes, I'm sure about this. No free internet anywhere at WDW.
