I learned that they don't have wireless, but for instance if I have NetZero, can I dial in local to orlando for free? do you know the phone number that is free from Disney? Thanks! We're arriving in WDW tomorrow, in Brandon, FL right now using a cell phone cord for internet.

You would need to look on Net Zero and find the Orlando numbers. Then I would ask at the front desk which one is local. We have to do this when we use our Prodigy account.

You might want to go to Deb Wills site and see if she has a local dial up number or at least get the hotel number so you can put that into Net Zero for the local FL number.

Even if the number is a local call or an 800 number, it will cost you $.75 from WDW room phones.

Also what cell phone plan do you have? Do you live in Florida because otherwise it would be a long distance call?

You might be better off to use the room phone and pay the flat fee of .75 for every call that you make.

I have Verizons nationwide plan, and verizon has free internet to use on nites and weekends. Otherwise it is on your plan for minutes. #777 on data enabled fones.

So how did using your cell phone work out for you?

Well for 14.4k dialup (really slow) it worked out really well. After nine weeknites and on weekends it was totally free. Great just to check e-mail and read on the disboards ;) :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I am currently writing this at the Swan, where hours earlier I watched illuminations from my balcony room. The Swan and Dolphin have free high speed internet access. I love our room, the service, and yes, it still feels like I am in Disney World!

filequit, I guess I will keep using the phone at WDW then. I am used to dial up but 14.4 is slow. I will pay the 75 cents to be able to check my email when I need to.
