Does anyone know where I can go to get on the internet while staying at AKL? I know that some Mail Boxes Etc have access are there any nearby?

Thanks
Ann

All the theme parks have internet telephone kiosks (usually near their telephone areas) It costs $1.00 for 4 minutes of internet access. They take actual bills and credit cards. I know CSR has an internet kiosk in their convention center but I'm not sure if other resorts have them yet or not.

I think I read somewhere that there is an internet kiosk at AKL. Has anyone seen it or know how much it is?

When my husband and I stayed at AKL last year, we took our laptop, signed up with Juno for a free month and actually had access in our room. There is an outlet set up just for that. We found a local number in Orlando, so we just had to pay the charge affilitated with the room for a call. Not sure if you have access to a laptop, but it worked out very well. Have fun, it truly is a beautiful resort. we can't wait to go back!;)

No I don't have a laptop :( I am thinking of trying to borrow one -don't really have the money to buy one right now. Especially since I would only need it while traveling. I may just try the kiosks at the parks. I can go without it but my father needs to check his e-mails for his business. Some people just can't get completely away!!

Thanks for the info.

Even when at Disney a couple of weeks ago. I could check boards for info, ask questions, etc. that I needed for that trip. Besides the ability to touch base with office and everyone at home. They knew we would check our email daily and respond to any problems, so it made everyone more comfortable than the thought of trying to track us down at the resort. I LOVE the internet and how much easier it has made my life!

I know that AsMo also has bus service but I am familiar with it and it has always been great. Had very bad bus service from WL and so so from the Dolphin, didn't like visiting BW and BC/YC. If I can get in on a code or AP discount I think I will try and switch to AKL. We loved it last time!

Thanks all
TJ

I can confirm there is a internet terminal/tty/phone in the phone area near the entrance to the Kudu trail. During our 4 night stay, it only worked the first 2 nights we were there. We asked Guest Services to have it fixed or reset but it seems it is the responsibility of the phone company. The machine takes dollar bills or credit cards but I cant remember the rate.

If worse comes to worse, you can do what we did and go over to the Business Centre at Coronado Springs. They have two terminals with ADSL Internet access and they can charge it to your room key if you so desire.

Yes there are other terminals on property but if you are looking for a stable indoor connection to the Net, then I recommend the CS Business centre.

Thanks Legend! I enjoyed your trip reports -That must be where I saw the reference to the internet there!

First, thanks for the compliment. :teeth:

The TRs do take alot of time to write and check so I do appreciate all the feedback. I do want them to serve as a learning experience for future visitors and yes, I did mention a internet/tty/phone at the entrance to the kudu trail because I needed to contact Amex New Zealand to find out what the deal was with my credit card. :( It took almost a week for them to reply which is why we ending up going to the CSR Business Centre to check the e-mails.

The AKL net terminal is good when it goes and I even used it to answer some DIS topics while I was there! Hope it all goes well for you and thanks once again for the support!
