Internet access at mods?

I always stay value...just ds and I and he loves(I mean loves) POP. He has an autism spectrum disorder so familiarity is normally very improtant. I bring my laptop and work from the room...I work full time from home so an internet connection and my blackberry and I manage to squeeze extra vac. time. I can do most of my job except for one part that requires excessive dialing of numerous accounts through a modem. That part was done by someone here at home. Next visit is in June already and in order for me to be able to go I have to be able to do my entire job.

So now I am looking at needing a high speed connection so I can bring my talk broadband modem and still have my local phone number...thus no long distance.

If you are still with me, do any of the mods have high speed or will I need to go to deluxe? Is there any hope the values will ever get high speed? It's just the 2 of us and honestly POP is perfect for us...I would rather spend the extra money on character breakfasts, illum cruises and all the other things we enjoy...this will be our 7th visit in 4 years...darn AP!!

CSR is the only moderate with high speed internet. The other moderates have dial up. High speed and wireless is available. There is a separate charge for both. If you have an ethernet cable I would bring that also.

Thanks for the quick responses...I will have to weigh out the cost of the mod, the internet and then decide if I am still better to stay in the POP and pay the .75/call to dial out on my modem.

High Speed Internet Arrives at CSR. It has been a long time in coming, but High Speed Internet Access is being rolled out at the WDW Resorts, starting with Coronado Springs beginning 10/1/03. The price is $4.95 per hour or $9.95 for 24-contiguous hours charged to the room account. You will need to supply your own laptop and cable! Technical support will be available via your in room phone.

Wi-Fi: High Speed Wireless Internet Access is available to Guests staying at CSR!!! Guests with Wi-Fi enabled laptop computers or PDA's will be able to access the Internet from the common areas at CSR. Smart City is the vendor providing this service and 24-hour technical support for those Guests who need it. Smart City will bill the Guest using a secure credit card transaction via the on-screen Internet connection. Requirements: Requires a wireless interface card (WIC), available for purchase in the resort's business center. Price: $4.99 for the first 60 minutes or $9.95 for 24 contiguous hours. Coronado Springs areas include the Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, the Dig Site (Feature Pool), Francisco's.
