Hi Gang,

I was reading a book by the same people who publish the unofficial guide to WDW. I think the name of the book is the insiders's guide to WDW (it's home and I am at work), it was published within the last year. In the book they mention ESPN club having internet access. Does anyone know if this is definitely true, and if so what the cost is? The conference center at BWV has access but the cost is ridiculous, so I am wondering about other options that are not so pricey and close to BWV. If anyone knows for sure I'd apprecitate the info. :wave2:

Marilyn

Are you sure you're not confusing this with the Cheesecake Factory at DisneyQuest? I know they have free Internet terminals on the top level of DQ, although it can take a little patience to actually get one.

I'm home now so I can get really specific. The name of the book is Inside Disney, I've got the 2d edition, published in 2002. On page 111 it says "The Boardwalk Resort also contributes to Disney's elaborate luring of the couch potato/armchair-quarterback audience with the frenetic ESPN World, a Sportscenter bar with Maxi-screen TVs, another 75 regular screens, eight internet hookups, a real broadcasting radio station, constantly updated scores and odds, interacitve games and virtual reality pods."

So there you have it. Maybe since it's from 2002 things have changed? :confused3 I sure never noticed internet hookups there, but I didn't think to look for them either.

We dined at ESPN in December 2004 and I didnt see anyone using the internet.

If it says Internet Hook ups, I would assume you would have to bring your own laptop and they have a plug in for it. So the guide sounds correct if you dont mind bringing your own PC.

There were booths along the wall that had PS2 and possibly network capabilities so that might be what they were referring to. Dh and the kids played PS2 while we waited for our food.

Hey I think you solved the mystery! I think I did misinterpret the wording, and thought there might be actual Computers there, but you must be right, it's just a place to hook up a laptop. No need to go to ESPN for that, since BWV has access right in the room!

Thanks, for pointing out what my thick skull couldn't see! :goodvibes
