Internet Access around WDW

Hi everyone!

We're off to Orlando next month but my husband and I are fretting about internet access. He'll need to check his emails for work reasons at least every other day, preferably daily.

We're staying in a Hampton Lakes villa. I've checked with our tour operator to see if the villa will have access but they weren't able to confirm either way. I'm not relishing the thought of having to track down an internet cafe every day so that he can check his emails....but will have to if all else fails.



Anyone got any ideas? I know Starbucks has WiFi hotspots (we do have a wireless laptop we could take) but the nearest one I could find was in Celebration and I'd rather not have to drive him there every day.

Any tips and advice would be MASSIVELY appreciated. TIA!

Any of the WDW resorts with a convention centre will have a business centre where you can access a PC/internet but I am not sure of the cost - sorry. I have been in the business centre at CSR and they had 3/4 PCs to use.

I haven't had to use it as we take a laptop and stay onsite so have inroom internet access - it is the one thing DH insists on as he also has to check email daily for work as well.

What mobile phone does he have. It might work out cheaper if he checks every other day, to set his phone up (assuming he is taking it, its is tri band and he can set it up for his emails if his emails are pop3 and his phone will do that) and recieve them on his phone.

Think will go with the mobile phone option. I'm pretty sure my mobile phone is triband and I know for a fact we receive pop3 emails. Huzzah and eureka!

There is a cafe at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores called 'World Of Coffee' that have internet access.

Much cheaper than using any Disney resort, around half the price.

There are desktop pc's in place, not sure how it would work with your laptop though.

I think Hampton Lakes is on the US27 right? If it is then at the end of the 192 where it joins the 27 there is a villa rental place (does helicopter rides now too) and they have pc's in there, we've used this place a lot in the past, I think it was $5 an hour, there's also Black angus on the 192, (there not very good, but fine for checking emails).

In May we must have went in Disney Quest about 8 times in 2 weeks just to check our emails!! LOL (we have annual passes so it was no big deal).
