Okay so to keep things simple I am having weight loss surgery on February 24th. And then I am out of comission for unknown amount of time (my trainer was back up and running in 2 weeks, it normally takes 6 weeks, I am thinking since I've been running for a while I might fall somewhere in between but with my luck I might have to wait all 6 weeks to start running again).
My problem is by the time I resume running I will be coming right up on a couple of month stay in Chile (where my Dad works). Now as much as I like going overseas and stuff like that it raises a concern. The deadline for corral changes might fall while I'm overseas. And I'm going to try and sneak in a 10k to move up corrals for Dumbo (since with the weight loss I should a change with my speed, and just because I won't be running doesn't mean I won't be walking during the first couple of weeks) before I leave for Chile but I might not get a chance too. Which means I have to see about running one in Chile. Which brings up a question. Can you submit a timed international race for your proof of time for Run Disney?
I am just wondering has anyone ever done this before. Have they had success, were they rebunked and told no, were they sucessful in being moved into the corral they were seeking? What exactly happened. I would just appreciated the info because I am also trying to get a grasp of how urgent I need to get that 10k in before I leave the country for a couple of months. I know things changed recently with proof of time but I would like to know if anyone had any success at all in the past.
Thanks ahead of time.
