International guest Magic Band question

From what I’ve read online and see on my Disney app, guests outside of the US, can’t place an order ahead of their arrival. The most recent posts about this are from 2023, is this still the case? We’re not Canadian and using a VPN doesn’t change the message we see on the app.

I’ve seen that it’s possible to place your order through the Disney Store and have it shipped to your hotel as you’d ship any other package ahead of time.

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so I know we could just buy the bands there as well.

Are you asking about the discounted bands you can purchase when you have a Disney package booked? If you can purchase them, you can do so but they will not ship internationally, they will be sent to your resort for pickup there.

Thanks for your response! I don’t believe I have a package. I booked my DVC villa and bought my tickets separately.

When clicking on my hotel reservation, I can view my MagicBands and any potential orders. There is a message saying that I can’t place an order internationally. So I’m guessing I can’t buy anything through the hotel reservation or my account, regardless of where it may be shipped.

I’ve seen other international guests mentioning having to place an order through the Disney Store, no discounts, and having it shipped to their hotel as you would with any other package that would arrive to your hotel.

You are correct, for whatever reason, you are not able to buy them pre-arrival, even for delivery to your resort. I wouldn't go the Disney Store route, things can get lost in the mail or not arrive in time. Your best bet is to purchase them when you arrive. The WL gift shop will have a small selection.

on property you will get a HUGE selection. You will lose the discount but gain options.
You don't need mb before you get to ORL.

At Disney Springs, Disney's Pin Traders will have the best selection.
At the Theme Parks, usually only one store per park will have the best selection. At the MK, the Emporium has the best selection.
The resorts don't typically have a very large selection.

The Disney Store in MCO may have a limited selection as well.
