If you don't mind the walk, the monorail is always a great option.
Keep in mind that on your return trip, you will have to take the bus (instead of the monorail) to BWV from MK if Epcot is closed.
The bus is a much better option than the monorail.
The bus will terminate at MK's front gates.
Riding the monorail will not only require the walk thru Epcot between the front gates
and the International Gateway,
but also an additional trip (on a different monorail) between MK and TTC.
What I have done a couple times when staying at BWV is get a fastpass for Soarin for later in the day. Then later in the day, walk through Epcot, ride Soarin and then catch the monorail to MK for the evening. Get to ride Soarin and get to ride the monorail.
