I have never been and was wondering how the crowds are during this event?

What about the weather-- and actually is it worth going?? :confused3

Thanks! :goodvibes

I have been twice and think it is a great time to go. The crowds in early May areb't bad even at epcot where the event is. The only day or weekend I wouldn't go to epcot during that time is Mother's Day. Mother's Days plus Flower and Garden festival equals heavy crowds. I found that out the hard way. After an hour at Epcot on Mom's day we left and went to MGM/Disney studios where crowds were thin. Went this year (not on Mother's day) and the attendance was low.

I love the F&G Festival. This was the first year I spent much time in EPCOT during it, in fact I took a day off of work while DD was in school so I could go by myself. I also spent part of one Saturday there stalking Snow White & the 7 Dwarves while DD was at Blizzard Beach with a friend! As much as I love doing Disney with DD - I loved having time there alone to literally stop & smel the roses. It is beautiful - everywhere you look there is something else beautiful to look at - we spent part of every weekend during the F&G at EPCOT. They also have the Flower Powere concerts which I have heard are great - we just never made it to any of them!!!

Each weekend has a different theme - Characters in Bloom (some rare characters were seen this year by the lucky!) and I Dig Bugs are two that come to mind.

April & May can start to get pretty warm - in fact there was one weekends that were as hot & humid as July! Generally not too much rain that time of year - last year VERY dry!

I have lots of pics in my Photobucket under EPCOT - there are two links - 4/21 and EPCOT Solo Days http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e291/makasper/EPCOT/

I agree Mother's Day is too crowded - they have the special Mother's Day brunch that we did one year - never again - over priced and just way too big!

I was in Epcot on Mother's Day this year. It was HOT HOT HOT...I think it was the hottest day of the whole week. We got there early, got FP for Soarin' and Test Track early, and then enjoyed the day. The crowds were manageable, I think, because we did alot in Future World early and then took our time around World Showcase. We had made ADRs way in advance for dinner in Italy, and I'm glad we did. We had a great time that day. I can't wait to go back in 2007! Have a wonderful time!

Did either of you experience any problems with these love bugs I'm hearing about? We're planning on being at the F&G festival in April, and would hate to run into these littel buggers!

We went this April. We went the last week of April and all the parks were very manageable. It didn't seem like there were any extra crowds in Epcot compared to past experiences. There are alot of nice displays set up and some nice gardens to walk through.

We had great weather when we went, only ten minutes of rain as we were driving to the parks. It dried up before we go out of the car.
