We are staying in a hotel on International Drive the night before our Disney vacation begins. What is traffic typically like on International Drive on a Sunday morning around 7am? This will be in July. We will be driving to the Pop Century Resort. Thanks.

International Drive is a very long road. What section will you be staying at? If its the north end its very, very congested. Further south its much better.
However, at 7:00 am on a Sunday you should be good any way.

At 7:00am traffic should generally be very minimal assuming there are no conventions/events, traffic on I-Drive seems to pickup mid-day and grows heavier as the evening approaches and the bars/restaurants/nightlife venues start to open.. Another factor as stated is any conventions/events that may be taking place the Orange County Convention Center, this could have a significant impact on traffic as well.

Our hotel is about 3.5 miles up International drive from the intersection of International Drive and World Center Drive. Forgive me, I don’t know the area so I hope that description makes sense.

At 7 in the morning on a Sunday there will be very little traffic because nothing is open at that time except a few places to eat.

Uep. Even if there are conventions, typically they wouldn't have anything scheduled that early on a Sunday.

OP could use WAZE tomorrow morning around that time, just to get an idea of what traffic might be like.

One person's heavy traffic is another person's light traffic. If you're from a rural area where the biggest travel headache is having to stop while the school bus picks up kids in the morning, traffic in Orlando will likely seem a bit daunting. Even on a Sunday morning, that person might be surprised at the amount of traffic. (There will be a decent amount of traffic at that hour because many hotel/theme park workers will be scheduled to start shifts at 8am.)

On the other hand, if you're like me, driving in Orlando is a breeze. I grew up in Los Angeles and currently live in South Florida. Both of those locations have lots of traffic. Back when I lived in Orlando, I lived near Universal and worked at Disney World. Even at prime rush hour, it was extremely rare to get stuck in "dead stop on the freeway" traffic.

In the end, I wouldn't stress over traffic. It is what it is. Assuming you want to get to your Disney Resort and try to get to a theme park first thing in the morning, leaving at 7am on a Sunday should easily accomplish that goal.
