Hi All

Last time I went to Orlando I had a phone card that I put about £20 on to start with, and I used this card to ring home to the UK from the US...

Now I cant seem to buy one of these cards anywhere!

I vaguely remember the resorts sold them - can anyone confirm the easiest and cheapest way to ring home from the US.

Thanks!!

We always buy a AT and T Worldwide PrePaid Phone Card for 10 dollars from Walmart. You get something like 2 hours of phoning the UK from this card. Whatever you do, don't buy a phone card from the Disney hotels. We bought a 10 dollar card from our hotel once and it lasted about 8 minutes.

I didn't see any at the resorts and infact I ended up buying one at SeaWorld! I paid like $5 which gave about 20 minutes and was all I needed :)

Walmart, as mentioned above, and similar can give you better value cards though.

I am posting without having checked what is currently available, but the ones I used to use (best value) were the ones you bought online. It gave you a phone number that you dialled from the US and you were prompted to enter your code, which was like a purchase/order code for your "card" and it logged you into your account and you could dial the number you needed. I don't remember where I got mine as I havent used them for years but they were much better value than the actual cards you buy.

I bought a post office one last time for £10 and it lasted ages.Must of phoned home 6 times and still have £3.80 on it.
Did have one like tiggs but found it a bit of a pain having to dial another number first. The resort ones are a rip off as they charge a connection fee of about $1.30 per call and are approx $1 a min so not good at all.

Oh I forgot about the Post Office one. That was pretty good too. Did you buy yours online? (It's been a while since I have used them)

no I was stood at the counter posting some ebay stuff (as you do:3dglasses) and I spotted them in the window.Payed £10 and will get another this year. Also going to put £20 on daughters PAYG sim and use that to text as dont know if my unlimited texts are free from the US

Oh, that is different to the one I used, I think. Is the £10 one for dialling from one of those card phones or how does it work? I ask because you mentioned finding the pin codes a hassle so I assume it is not one of those.
