Intern posistions?

Quick question i was wondering what my chances of receiving the posistion i apply for more specifically lifeguard iw ould imagine this would be one of the tougher roles to get.

Are you certified? I am so I was looking at this as a role when I did my program...If I remember correctly this is actually a role that they have a lot of openings for CPs. It wasn't my top choice b/c I really wanted ops (which is where I went) but I think if you really want it then you have a great chance! never hurts to find another role you really want though just in case you want to make doubly sure to get down there. I'm a campus rep and I know last season as a whole was super competitive! GOOD LUCK!

From what I have heard, lifeguards do not have to be certified to apply. Disney will test your swimming skills and certify you themselves before you get hired. However, I would apply for sports and recreation if this is something you like to do. If for some reason you don't get accepted for the lifeguard role, recreation does watersports, beach and pool activities, boat rentals and much more. It would be a great way to introduce yourself to what Disney has to offer in that area.

A good number of lifeguards are CPs.

For the role of a lifeguard, you will need to complete a moderate pre-qualification exam before you arrive (usually can be completed at a neighborhood pool). You will also be evaluated on your arrival day or second day if you can satisfy the physical requirements of the role. This exam is typically held at Mickey's Retreat (across from Chatham Square) late in the afternoon. If you pass these two exams, you will be fully certified by Disney in the following two weeks.

If you do not pass, you will be placed in another role. Hopes this helps!
