We are trying to search for an officient who will perform an interfaith ceremony. I'm Jewish & DF is athiest (he has a Christian background but does not practice).

We would like the ceremony to be mostly nondenominational, but I would like to incorporate some Jewish tradition (standing under the chupah, breaking of the glass, signing a ketubah), so I would like the officiant to be familiar with Jewish weddings.

We do not live in/near Florida so I'm clueless on where to start. We are also not planning a DFTW (we are likely going with a S/D wedding).

Anyone know of any officiants in the area who might do this? We are ok with a rabbi or a nondenominational officiant.

Any links that you know of with lists of people to contact?

Thanks!:goodvibes

We used Rev. Kevin Knox. Here is a link to his website. http://www.abeautifulceremony.net/ He is one of Disney's recommend officients. My DH is Jewish and I am Catholic. We did not want a religious ceremony. We did do the Candle Lighting Ceremony for me and my DH broke the glass. At the end of the ceremony everyone shouted Mazeltov. When we were in Disney 6 months before our ceremony doing a planning session, we met with him for about an hour just to discuss our thoughts and to have hime meet us and get to know us. He really worked with us on everything we wanted. Check out his website - we did "The Blessing of the Hands" also and it was just beautiful.

We also asked him to wear a suit and not a robe. I actually also asked him to wear a redish tie if he had one as those were our colors. He did this and it looked great.

Here is a photo from our ceremony:

I do not one uploaded with my DH breaking the glass - but it was great.

In our program - I listed The Candlelighting Ceremony and The Breaking of the Glass and the meaning behind each.

I haven't gotten married yet but we are using Rabbi Lefkowitz. He is disney recommended and the few times i have spoken with him, he seems really sweet. He said he can do as many or as few of the jewish traditions as you want. HTH
