interesting tidbit about storing your equipment

never thought of it but someone on another site mentioned how dark damp conditions = mold/fungi so they don't keep their equipment in their black cloth case unless they are using it...or keep silica packs in the case( duh, why do i always throw those away).

also someone else mentioned they make sure and expose their stuff to the sun occasionally since UV kills mold...

.not sure how correct these are but anyone else have some similar techniques someone else might not think of?
 
I keep slica gel packs in all of my bags/cases. They either turn opaque white or pink when they're "full". I just bake 'em in the sun and re-use them.

Really? I never knew you could dry them out and reuse them...

Yeah, some people dry them out in the oven or microwave. I just put in on the window sill.
