Interesting scene at CRT tonight

Just wondering if anyone else was at CRT tonight around 4:30 for dinner? A family of 4 was sitting at one of the tables by the window (if you were standing in the middle of the dining room looking at the window his table was on the right side). He clanged on his glass and stood up making an announcement that he has a toast to make. He was kind of far away so I can't say for sure what was said but it was basically something to the effect that his wife had been cheating on him with her boss and he had the emails on his iPhone. He then picked up his two girls and left the restaurant. His wife followed behind him shortly after that. The entire restaurant was pretty much silent. A waitress in a different section was talking to her tables about it but our waiter was not the gossiping type. Anyone else there and have an idea of what was going on?

Oh, and if this is the wrong board I'm sorry...not really sure what category it fell into. Feel free to move it!

I know the man was probably upset, but what a horrible thing to do, especially in front of your kids.

I actually think the toast is pretty funny,poor guy must have been devastated, but i agree that it should not have been done in front of the kids, i think it was pretty low class of her to be having an affair, if your not happy where you are,get out!

Actually I've heard of other stories where people make these grand gestures about cheating spouses, fiances, etc ... sounds horrible to me. Especially in front of children. (PS ... her boss wasn't named Tiger, was he?) Sorry ... the devil made me do that!

What a jerk on both their parts. The woman for cheating and the man for ruining his children's Disney vacation and the other guests dining expirence. It couldn't of waited until they got home.

not to mention making everyone else in the restaurant uncomfortable!! he probably ruined more than just their dinner. I feel sad for their kids....not exactly a magical Princess moment in the castle.

This is so sad... I can understand that he was upset, but I worry for those kids if his only thoughts are of himself and not the feeling of his children or the other guests in the restaurant.

They should both be ashamed of themselves. Two wrongs don't make a right and doing that in public in front of his children is almost worse to me.

I can't imagine what that guy might have been going through but, I would think the kids are going to have enough to deal with in the near future without that memory as well...

She obviously wasn't concerned about the kids when she chose to cheat with her boss. She is wrong for putting him in that situation where he had to make a choice on how to handle it. He shouldn't have had to deal with that. Period.

being the devils advocate maybe he was just a jerk, afterall who would really put this kind of show on, you know the woman abuser type? This could be a mind game to embarass her or mentally mess with her. Just another side to look at.

after the balloon incident and the party crashers, its hard to NOT look at other possibilities.

I agree that's a horrible way for that man to handle it. But, assuming his toast was actually truthful, sounds like he may have just snapped. For all we know, he may have just found said messages during the day and still been in shock. Either way, what a mess.
