Okay, okay, I stand corrected. That was rather fun.
I borrwed the tape from a couple of friends after discovering they had the set. I'm going to have to go get them for myself.
That 60 second video preview I saw that made me decide not to get WATP sure didn't do the show justice.
But, what I discovered is just how much help Tai Chi really is. I know, I know, y'all are getting tired of me making these observations
, but they're just so amazing to me! I'm floored that here it is, just over a month since I first came to WISH, and I'm *still* doing exercise regularly! Well, the interesting thing is I *know* that just a month ago, I would have been huffing, puffing, and collapsing after the 1 mile WATP. Now, even though Tai Chi isn't exactly aerobic, I'm able to make it through the 1 mile and only really start feeling the strain just before the .75 mile mark, and end up considering the 1 mile WATP to be nothing more than a warmup for Tai Chi. This just floors me that I've come this far in just a month, *and* that the non-aerobic Tai Chi has done so much for my stamina and strength *and* lung function. It's going to be interesting to compare results when I go in for my next asthma measure/checkup in 2 weeks.
I'm going to have to get the set -- if I've seen this much improvement with nonaerobic Tai Chi, just how far will I be in another month if I throw in some days of WATP as well?
Anyway, just wanted to join the "WATP is cool" club and reiterate my thanks to WISH for helping me keep with it. I thought it amazing to be able to walk across campus last night. Being able to measure my progress compared to an actual mile marker was neat.
