Interesting Kohl's email.....

i got the email with the $25 too, but i would really really really like my christmas tree :-(


i called on sunday (for the 2nd time) and was promised that it would be here by today. she told me about the $25 coupon and told me i could use that to reorder the item if for some reason i dont receive it. then they would refund my money for the original purchase. :confused3 i already knew about the $25 email from others here, this was not special for me and i had a store credit plus code when i bought it on 12/2. i can't find a tree for that little money in their store now. so frustrating.
 
I got the same email as well. I put in two orders, but honestly I was quite happy with the shipping time. Last year I had major issues and called and complained and nothing!

So, was pretty surprised to get that this year, but I'll take it! Or maybe they were finally responding to my complaints from last year ... :lmao:
 
I am on my 3rd call right now to CS about my pre black friday order that was placed on 11-25-13 that I still do not have. I have called twice. The first time they told me it would be here on 12-9 and 12-10. I called when it didnt come and they told me it would be here on 12-16, 12-17 and 12-18. As of today I still havent received it. I received partial shipment of the order and the online order history shows it was all delivered but they claim I am still due 3 boxes of items so I have no idea what is going on. I order online from Kohls all the time and have ordered since then and got the items but this BF order is a total mess. And no I did not get any sorry for your inconvenience email. UGH! I have been on hold for 32 minutes so far with no answer.

UGH - I got hung up on after 45 minutes on hold to get a live person!

Ok, yes, something is up. I could have written my situation as yours almost word for word. My order was placed on 11-26-13, I still don't have it. I placed a second order (by the advice of the CS rep "just to be sure") on 2 of the 4 items (2 couldn't be placed as they were no longer available) and that one is MIA as well (that one was placed on 12/10). They gave me the same song and dance about showing certain things shipped that they are now saying did NOT ship. I have rec'd one item...a pair of black yoga shorts I threw in as an add on and really couldn't care less if I had those at this point or not. :( They gave me those exact same shipping updated dates as well.

I opened an "incident report" online that the gal today told me it hadn't been "activated" yet. WTH...do we just open them for fun and then someone has to activate it for it to go anywhere? So annoying. I'm "guaranteed" to have an answer as to what the situation with my order is within 72 hours. I'll believe that when I see it. The incident report was to "guarantee" me the same thing within 5 business days and today was day 8 and per the rep hadn't even been activated.

I told the gal on the phone I knew it wasn't her fault, but unfortunately if I have to call back again I am not going to be nearly as understanding and pleasant....I'm tired of fighting with them. I didn't order this 2, 5, or even 10 days ago...I ordered it on 11/26. I told her that if they couldn't fulfill the order they needed to credit me and cancel the order. :furious:
 

I got one too... and my package has been sitting in Washington for a week. Annoying. At least I have $25 to go towards clothes shopping this weekend.
 
I too have ordered a fair bit from Kohls this season but everything shipped quick and accurately. Yesterday I got the 25.00 gift card letter. Went to Kohls found DD14 a formal dress on complete clearance b/c it was a catalog return and with my 25.00 gc got a 116.00 dress for 3.86!!!!
 
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only on whose shipping is taking forever. I ordered stuff on the 4th and I just got the email that it shipped. I actually completely forgot what I ordered since it was so long ago. I guess I'll see if they send me a coupon, but probably not since my order is shipping now.
 
Well, I'm a bit happier right now. I posted a message to the Kohl's FB page (along with about a million other people) about my missing order and the "customer service" I received. I had a reply within 5 minutes with an email address to have the issue addressed.

I rec'd an email from Nicole who said there WAS an issue with my original order - it never left the warehouse and that credit of the items was issued personally by her for the order (I'm assuming less the shorts I received.) :cool1:

Now, it's a bit of a hassle as the items I placed on my second order will need to be returned (as I already purchased replacement items), but that's ok...I can do that. She did say that replacement order did ship and was scheduled to arrive by Dec 20th.
Well, thank GOODNESS those socks will be here...whew! Don't know how my kids would have reacted Christmas morning when THOSE were missing under the tree. :rotfl:

I'll have to return the activity set, since I already bought a replacement.

But as long as the credit hits, I will be happy with the resolution. Finally! :cool1:

I don't expect they would give me the gift card though, since my order never actually shipped...it had an error in the system of some sort so I don't know it would even be recognized as a possible comp for delayed shipping. :( Oh well...that's ok.
 
I rec'd the $25 gift card email too! I had one order that was divided up and 1 item took maybe 8 days to get to me, but all other orders we have made came in a normal time frame. It took me a while to figure out WHY I was sent the GC, as nothing was outstanding and I had no issues :confused3 However, DH went shopping that night with the GC sooooo...guess it came in handy. He came home with $10 kohls cash to boot :thumbsup2
 
I received the email with the $25 gift card, too. I placed an order on Black Friday. Everything arrived just fine within a week in separate boxes, so I was wondering why I received an online gift card. Apparently lots of people had their orders messed up or canceled and did not receive a gift card email. The Kohl's facebook page is slammed with unhappy customers. I actually received an extra blanket in my order. They sent me two of the same blanket, but I only ordered one and was only charged for one. I volunteer for an organization where we give out clothing and blankets to the homeless, so I called Kohl's to tell them I received two blankets instead if one and they said I could give it to my charity. The reason I ordered a new blanket was because we gave a few of our own blankets to this charity, so I was just starting to replace what we gave away. So I gave away 3 blankets, got back a free blanket (that I will also donate), AND got $25.00 in a giftcard! What a deal!
 
As far as I am concerned, Kohl's has crappy customer service.

I ordered on 11/26/13 and still have not received my order. Inquiry's have done nothing yet. And today I received an email to rate my purchases. Yep, the ones I have NOT received yet.

I also ordered on 12/9/13 just to use the kohl's cash I received from the first purchase. It was the last day I could use it. Have not received that order either.

It should not be that hard to send a package. All the other stores I have ordered from have had no problem getting my my purchases. All I have gotten from Kohl's is a headache. My next step is contacting my credit card to dispute the charges.
 
My friend who got the big pink rocking horse (that talks) got an email with a $25 coupon! :)

I had my 4th phone call to Kohl's CS this morning regarding an order I placed Nov 26th that they show in shipped status but it hasn't left the Kohl's warehouse AND a "replacement order just in case" that hasn't moved from "in fulfillment" status since Dec 8th.

I could give you the LONG story, but to date they not only messed up the original order - can't find it, and can't replace the items - but also the replacement order! I could literally walk into the Kohl's store TODAY and pick up the items they "comp'd" me on the replacement order due to unavailability when they tried to reorder, but I refuse.

They told me two weeks ago they were crediting me back for the items on the first order and I could keep them if they arrived.

No credit - no items.

Today I call back - the girl proceeds to say they can't credit me for the items until they can prove that the items were delivered. :confused3 Oh, so if the item NEVER leaves the facility I can't get my money back? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I ordered these things on Nov 26th-admit something happened, credit me back and for the love of all that is holy PLEASE get the replacement order right. :furious:

I didn't order 2 days BEFORE Black Friday to have them tell me that they are doing their best to have them there no later than 5pm on CHRISTMAS EVE.

I already went out and replaced the items that they couldn't send in the replacement order. If BOTH orders aren't at my door by Christmas Eve I don't even know WHAT to do!??

Oh, no gift cert or anything either...I don't know WHAT is going on.

What would you do?


I would initiate a chargeback with the credit card company.

I had to do that this week, with a company I purchased from during Black Friday online sales. They didn't ship it the items on their expected ship date, they didn't even have one of the items in stock until yesterday, and they wouldn't answer any emails or phone calls or comments on FB or Twitter. (I wasn't the only one who had this issue with lack of communication or shipping). I figured 10 days would be enough ship time, as they said they were shipping the 10th, and I needed the items for DH's birthday on the 20th. Yesterday, it was "the items are shipping today"....which is what they said on the 13th and 16th. I asked them to cancel and refund, and they kept messing around....so off to the bank I went.

I didn't do a survey either..... the email that they sent said that they were sorry that my items were delayed. Weird thing was, I got 2 emails (for I assume the same product) with 2 different $25 codes. :confused3
 
OP here.... there must be something in the air or I might just have a 'shopping black cloud' over me. I ordered a purse from Lord and Taylor and after COUNTLESS phone conversations and online chats, they still cannot tell me when my purse is going to ship.

It was in stock when I ordered and all I get is "oh, it appears that it's now in 'locator' where they try to find one in the stores, but there's no guarantee". SAY WHAT? there's no guarantee?? And they won't let me cancel because "it's too far along in the process".... the process that no one can tell me where we're at. I'm like in the vortex or ordering. She did tell me that the just may go ahead and cancel in the next day or so. So like 2 days before Christmas, you're going to cancel my order. And then I need to go out shopping. :furious:

I'm pretty sure that I'm done w/ Lord and Taylor. At least Kohl's tries to have great customer service... the people I've spoken to at Lord and Taylor don't even care. It's amazingly frustrating!! :headache:
