Interesting event in Fireworks lobby

Today I was in the fireworks lobby when a guy asked to trade me. I opened to trade and he said he would trade me a stitch hat for my cowboy hat. I said I had to take off the hat, so I closed out and took off the hat. I opened the trade window and I got stuck in the fireworks game because I had clicked join game before the trading even started. I had to log in again and I found the guy but once I clicked trade he disappeared.

Consider yourself lucky. That was a scam waiting for a place to happen.

Remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. People have rooms full of stuff to trade for Stitch. It's not going to happen for a cowboy hat.

I'm glad the VMK Gods stepped in and whisked you off to fireworks! Otherwise, you would be posting how you lost your cowboy hat!

Don't stress over it.

The cowboy hat is way more "common" than the Stitch hat and even if he did have the hat, he was not likely going to trade it to you for a cowboy hat. When people will offer loads of stuff in exchange for that one hat, take a second to consider how unlikely it would for someone to only desire a cowboy hat for the Stitch hat. And if that's all he really wanted, that trade would have happened a long time ago. And the fact he disappeared when you attempted to trade with him again is a big indicator that something wasn't right.

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't get scammed.

Do not feel bad. I think that is what they intended to do. I have had people do it to me: get my hopes up and then dissappear. That was their sole intent to get me excited about a trade then drop me. Too bad this is what people consider fun. They go away laughing. Just brush it off and do not give them the satisfaction of being mean at the cost of others feelings.
