Here's some interesting Emmy Facts. The show is on tonight!

He hasn't left the building: Now name the show that's gotten the most Emmys. ("Frasier" with 31, not including the nine more it could win tonight.)

Maybe it was the shoulder pads: And now, name the show that's gotten the most Emmy nominations without ever winning a single statue. ("Dynasty," 24)

Phyllis rocks: Cloris Leachman is up for an Emmy tonight for her guest role on "Malcolm in the Middle." If she wins, it'll be her eighth Emmy, tying her for first place among female TV performers with whom? (Dinah Shore.)

TV milestone: The HBO miniseries "Angels in America" has 21 Emmy nominations, but it must win 10 tonight to surpass what miniseries record-holder? ("Roots," which won nine of its 37 Emmy nominations).

Golden girl: The 18-karat gold-plated Emmy statuette stands 16 inches high, weighs 4 ¾ pounds and costs about $200.

Winged victory?: And just what is that statue supposed to be? (The figure of a woman, with lightning bolts for wings, and uplifted arms carrying ... an electron.)

Tacky? You think?: One of the most controversial Emmy shows was the '84 one co-hosted by Joan Rivers and Eddie Murphy. Rivers' lewd jokes (of "Dynasty" actress Joan Collins, Rivers said, "she has more hands up her dress than the Muppets") caused a flurry of complaining calls to NBC, the network then hosting the awards. She wasn't asked back.

No wonder they were so convincing: Which real-life husband and wife won Emmys for playing a husband and wife on TV? (William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett on "St. Elsewhere," 1986.)

Loser, she wrote: Emmy's biggest non-winner: Angela Lansbury holds the record of most nominations (16) without a win. (The 19 straight losses of "All My Children's" Susan Lucci was in the Daytime Emmys, a different awards group.)

Lonely neighborhood: Sadly, there is one Emmy nominee no longer with us to collect a richly deserved award (or two) tonight. Who is it? (Fred Rogers, aka Mr. Rogers, nominated this year for Outstanding Nonfiction Special and for Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming.)

No turning back: The first reality television show to win an Emmy was "Survivor," which won two in 2001.

To the moon: For their roles on "The Jackie Gleason Show" and "The Honeymooners," Art Carney won five Emmys and Audrey Meadows one, but Gleason himself never won.

Who knew? The term "Emmy" is a feminization of "Immy," a nickname for the image orthicon camera used to film TV in the 1940s.

If you say so: George C. Scott turned down his Oscar for the movie "Patton" in 1971. But that same year, he accepted an Emmy for his starring role in "Hallmark Hall of Fame's The Price," saying the Oscars were a popularity show, while the Emmy was a true gauge of performance.

But why wasn't Liza in "Pippin"?: The only person to ever win an Emmy, Oscar and Tony the same year? (Bob Fosse in 1972, for directing "Liza with a 'Z,' " "Cabaret" and "Pippin.")

Center stage: The first African American to win an Emmy was Harry Belafonte, for the 1959-60 season variety special "Tonight with Belafonte."

Brought to you by ... : Because TV occasionally acknowledges how it makes a living, there is an Emmy for Outstanding Commercial of the 2003-2004 season. We just thought you'd like to know the nominees: "Born a Donkey" (Budweiser), "Dominoes" (Miller), "Door Music" (Saturn), "Interview" (United Airlines), "Outfit" (Citibank Identity Theft Protection) and "Rubberband Man" (Office Max).

Truly "Amazing": Which reality show was likely saved from cancellation by its surprise Emmy win in 2003? "The Amazing Race," which upset favorite "American Idol."

Silver lining: Under the category of pyrrhic victories, the network with the most canceled shows that still could win tonight is ABC, with "The Practice," "Line of Fire," "Life with Bonnie" and "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital" all nominated.

Ouch: In 1970, when pictures of the '69 moon landing were scrambled in a montage of news highlights, host Dick Cavett quipped, "One small step for mankind — and one giant leap for radio."

Next up, "The O.C."?: How many shows whose titles that consist almost entirely of acronyms are among the Top 30 all-time Emmy winners? (Three: "ER," "NYPD Blue" and "M*A*S*H.")

Paging Dr. Carter: Which won the most? ("ER," with 21.)

Who are you again?: Shows in the Top 30 all-time winners named after characters or lead actors on the show: "Frasier," "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Carol Burnett Show," "The Simpsons," "Murphy Brown," "The Dick Van **** Show," "Cagney & Lacey," "Columbo," "Lou Grant" and "The Waltons."

"Always spay and neuter your pets": Game-show host who's won the most Emmys: "The Price Is Right's" Bob Barker, with 13.

Best in show: Show that's won the most awards for best program: "Sesame Street," with 23.

Lifetime achievements: Who were the first inductees into the Emmy Hall of Fame 16 years ago? Lucille Ball, Milton Berle, Paddy Chayefsky, Norman Lear, Edward R. Murrow, William S. Paley and David Sarnoff.

Is there no justice?: David Hasselhoff, star of both "Knight Rider" and "Baywatch," has never won an Emmy.

See? There is justice: Tony Danza never won an Emmy for "Who's the Boss?" — but he did win one in 1999 for a guest role on "The Practice."

Fast one: In 1985, when Betty Thomas' name was announced as best supporting actress for "Hill Street Blues," a mysterious man in a tuxedo came to the stage and said he was accepting the award on her behalf. Viewers learned later that the man was Barry Bremer, a notorious event-crasher, who was arrested for grand theft of an Emmy. After a commercial break, Thomas was onstage and remarked, "Well, it's definitely hard to follow an act like that."

Awards overload: How many Emmys does Oscar have? The Academy Awards show has won 32 Emmys. And how many Oscars does Emmy have? OK, that was a trick question.

Best zinger: Conan O'Brien, Emmy host, 2002: "If you get up here and say your Emmy really belongs to someone else, it will be taken from you and given to them."

I'm hoping 24 and Keifer Sutherland win in their catagories.
