It has been very helpful to me to go to the CNN site and get county by county results in my state. My friends here at work (Bush supporters all) were very surprised to find out that Dallas County went 50%-49% for Bush.

My county voted for Bush by 8%, which is I believe the VA state margin as well.

You have to look at where the populations lie though in the states. Some of those counties in my state only have a few hundred residents.

My state voted Kerry. I can't really see New Jersey that well, but I know that Southern Jersey is usually more for Democrats and Northern Jersey is usually more for Republicans. I live in Northern Jersey and it looks like my county voted for Bush! That's kinda hard to believe considering everyone I work with is completely liberal, and I only know of myself and 2 other people that voted for Bush!

Mine too! Of course that is what I get for living in the same county as an urban city. If I move 10 miles east or noth, I could be in another county!

As far as my county goes, the USA Today map is incorrect. I'm in Beaufort County, SC which is in blue on the map yet actually went for Bush 60%-39%!

Thanks, I was trying to look for a better view of New Jersey but couldn't find it. I guess I lied, my county was slightly more towards Kerry. But that's believable because of some of the cities that are in my county. At least now I can go to work without everyone putting me down! Well maybe they can be mad at me for voting Bush, but they can't brag about Kerry winning!

I agree Dan that it is an informative site, but I do wonder why they still haven't updated Iowa and New Mexico for Bush. His margin of victory is greater there than the difference in a few other states, such as New Hampshire w/less than 10,000 and WI w/11,000 votes separating them. Just seems odd now since it's already over that they don't want Bush to get those last 12 ecv.
