Here's an article that discusses the currently planned Be Our Guest restaurant as part of the Fantasyland expansion. It suggest the new Mexico restaurant will be a trial of sorts for the planned Be Our Guest restaurant.

You know, I thought about how the new Cantina was going to run like the Be Our Guest restaurant. At least they have a few years to work out the kinks of running this restaurant concept before BOG opens.

That could be cool - it would have to be a Next Gen version, though, since Remy only squeaks and Lumiere would have to speak and move his mouth.

I must be missing something.

I dont see this as a new and revolutionary concept.

There are several local restaurants that are open for lunch and dinner.

At lunch...it's not unusual to see bare tables and to receive silverware rolled in a paper napkin.

At dinner, a table cloth is added, a votive candle and a cloth napkin and voila....you have a "more formal" restaurant.

Maybe there is something that's not being said and when I see it....I'll think differently...but for now...this doesnt seem to be "game changing".

Not sure but it sounds like for lunch it is a counter service and you just sit down when you get your food. For dinner they will have waitress service. This sounds good. I also LOVE the fact that Lumiere will be making the rounds. We saw Remy this past February and loved him.

Just remember....A lot of this is speculative. Nothing "official" from Disney, except some concept art. We are only discussing somewhat strong rumor at this point.
