Interconnecting rooms

Has anyone ever done this at a Disney Resort? (We're going to be staying at Pop Century).

When pricing up the holiday we booked, Virgin seemed to want an extortionate amount for an extra room (we booked online), so we have one room for 2 adults and 2 kids just now.

Any of you think it's worth extra money for a room for the kids to sleep in? Or since everyone's up so early anyway, just all go to bed at 8pm with the youngest one!

We have always shared with our kids from when they were 4 & 8 until last trip when they were 12/16.

When the girls the younger we did tend to go back to the room at an earlier time in the evenings but not that early. After a day in the parks we were all about ready for bed about the same time anyway LOL

Only real problems we had were the older the girls got the less they liked sharing a bed together and when in the room they always seemed to want to watch cartoons on TV when I wanted the baseball

As you say two rooms is expensive given the amount of time you spend there.

We did this at Movies last year.

2 adults, 2 kids (2 & 4) and we shared 1 room.

Wasn't an issue really, and we just worked round it. We couldn't justify paying extra for a 2nd room just to sleep in really. As already said, after a day at the parks it isn't really a problem

Seems I made the right decision after all

When my lads were younger we always got the one room and never had any problems. A few year's ago we stopped doing this and got an extra interconnecting room. Initially because the youngest son is a restless sleeper which disturbed his elder brother and I didn't want them having a bad night's sleep with the busy day ahead. Now they flatly refuse to share a bed (20 and 18) and to be honest we prefer the extra privacy and space we have with the 2 rooms but in answer to your question you made the right choice now.
