If you have young kids I would get one. My 6yo niece enjoyed it. You can pick one up in WDW almost anywhere. He tells a bunch of jokes, tells you parade times, and other facts in all of the parks.

It actually is pretty cool when he tells you stuff in the parks. I can't remember how much it was there, I think around $50 (Someone will help me out). Have fun

We got a Pal Mickey when we were in Disney in May and it was a lot of fun. He told cute jokes, would tell you when parades or shows were about to start, made funny comments especially on Tower of Terror, you can play games and he kept our 2 year old daughter occupied. If you didn't hear him you can squeeze his stomach and he will repeat what he said. He would come on as we passed certain buildings on Main Street and give little bits of info on them. He would aslo tell us that we should go to Pirates because there was no line.

My 2 year old plays with him at home. She likes listening to him tell jokes. It was worth it for us. When we got him he was $50 but I thought I read on these boards that he went up to $60 but I'm not totally 100% sure about that.

Oh, I'd say either buy one or rent one (if you can still do that). I went last May with my then 7 y/o DS and we had a lot of fun with it! The jokes were pretty corny, but that made it even more fun. We ended up only taking it with us on the 1st day of each park visit, as it got old after that. It was fun to play with on the buses and waiting in lines, and it made a good cuddle-toy when DS was tired. There was also a lot of interaction with CM's and other guests as we were constantly being asked about it and how we liked it. It has a "belt clip" and I hooked it to the strap on my small backpack, so it was always handy. The doll is a nice size, so it's not too big and smooshes into a pack when needed.

One thing that I especially liked: if you are within a certain distance to an attraction that will be starting soon (such as the Indiana Jones Stunt show at MK), Pal Mickey will be activated spontaneously to remind you of the show. I had forgotten about that feature and wondered why it would suddenly start talking about something unrelated to where we were. Because of that reminder, we got to see a few things we would have otherwise missed (forgotten about).

I'm wondering if Pal Mickey automatically "upgrades"? We're going again this May and I hope mine isn't already obsolete. Anyone know? pirate:
