Interacting with characters?

I'm a big character fiend. I LOVE reading the stories about the interactions between the characters and kids, and even more so, the character and adults. I was wondering, is there anything you would LIKE to say (limits of course) to a character but you didn't? Or something you wanted to ask them? Or just something you wanted to tease them about? Or something you heard someone say (or you said) that was too funny, or just too priceless?

Like asking Belle about Gaston is a big no-no LOL

When I hear people talking about how they tease Captain Hook with "tick tock tick tock" I just have to laugh.

Or going to Buzz Lightyear " LOOK BUZZ, AN ALIEN!"

etc.

I'm always looking for new things to do/say to the characters that will just make the interaction that much more fun (I'm not shy, mind you, I revert to a big kid when I'm around them. Just always on the lookout for stuff to say/do to get a reaction :earboy2:

We're going to be there from May 14th thru the 22nd, and plan on asking Mary Poppins if she can still say Supercalafragilistic backwards. (like she does in the song), and we also plan on greeting Buzz Lightyear by saying "Well, Hello Mrs. Nezmet!" (That's what he says his name is on Toy Story One when at Sid's house playing Tea party). My youngest son, who is 5, has also written out marraige proposals to some of the princesses on little stationary cards. So we'll see what kind of reactions these things get us. It should be fun!

It wasn't planned but after waiting in line for a photo op with Stitch he had doused me and my family with his water bottle! When we had our turn I gently reprimanded him and he started clapping his hands and doing a little happy dance! Bad Stitch!

I just had to answer this because it brought back sooo many wonderful memories. My kids are older, but years ago there was TONS of character interaction. When my son was little he loved Captain Hook and Peter Pan. He had the outfits, etc. Captain Hook actually knew and remembered us when we would see him in the parks. My son has autograph books full of things that he wrote him, calling him his First Mate and using his first name. But my most favorite memory is when my son and I were in Toontown (it wasn't called that then...) and Peter Pan came up behind him, tapped him on the shoulder and said to him "Come on, follow me!" He then preceded to run through the play area with my son and other kids following him! It was something straight out of the movie!! Another time at the castle breakfast, Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Wendy argued over who's side my son should be on. He had on his Captin Hook outfit and Peter Pan covered it with a napkin. SOOOO cute!! For my daughter's 16 birthday we were at dinner at 1900 Park Faire and Cinderella pretended to be jealous when the Prince kissed my daughter's hand. I could go on and on, we have so many wonderful memories. Years ago the character dinners and meet and greets were not as popular as now, so the characters spent time with the children. I can remember when the characters walked around the parks. Nobody "mobbed" them, kids would just go up to them for a picture and an autograph. My husband and I have always been very outgoing ourselves with the characters. We always talked to them and asked them yes or no questions. A lot of times this resulted in them writing answers to our kids. My husband often times wears a t-shirt from one of our Boston teams and this has also brought "talk" from characters. I don't think it's as much today, the characters seem so rushed, but I would tell people to treat them well and be nice. They have a very hard job.

I was sitting in the side courtyard area by Guerlain in France last year, killing time until my makeover appt. by talking to one of my friends on my cell phone. All of a sudden, the big wooden doors in front of me swing open and out walks the Beast! I LOVE the Beauty and the Beast film (see my screen name), so I smiled and waved at him. He crouched down, about to pounce on me. All my friend hears on the other end of the line is "uh-oh". Sure enough, Beast came bounding over to me and gave me a big hug.

Here is something to say if you really want to ANNOY the characters:

"Is it hot in there?"

The answer is YES! It's Orlando! It's 100 degrees out! What do you think, genius???!!!!

(uh...sorry didn't mean to go off like that..... :earboy2: )

Kids would ask the Beast why he was in "beast" form when he was a Prince at the end of the movie. A clever Belle would answer (since Beast couldn't talk) that the magic mirror would allow the Beast to change back and forth if when he wanted to.

Chewbacca gets some interesting comments...

"Harry!!" (people think/thought he's Harry from "Harry and the Hendersons")

or my favorite, from a group of Brazilians...

"King Kong! King Kong!"

This made me cringe...

"Oh, it's one of the creatures from Star Track!"

(Not only did they misidentify a classic character in the Star Wars pantheon, but then also mispronounce "Star Trek".)

Question to Goofy:

"What ARE you?"

(Goofy is a dog with human-like characteristics :) )

Comment about Donald:

"Look! It's Daffy Duck!" :sad2:
