Hi!

We are going on our first trip to DLP in Jan :goodvibes

Initially I haven't booked any insurence as I was going to get a NHS EHIC card, but it has suddenly dawned on me that we are going in Jan and the weather may cause problems!

Is it good value to book via Disney (adding about 80 pounds to our holiday) or would I get a better deal elsewhere - especially if I have already got the medical side covered with the EHIC card?

Never had to do this before as never taken family out of the country so please forgive my NOOBness lol!

Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi I never book the disney insurance.
I think it's a rip off tbh.
For our next trip I've book with more than I made sure we are covered in case of bad weather we do tend to get a lot of snow up north :(.
I also put one of the twins medical conditions on he's been in hospital a few times didn't want to rick anything happening.
It was £9.50 extra to put the medical condition on for a 9 day trip it was £31.
Not worth not having.:thumbsup2

After looking at a few quotes Disney does seem steep!

Can I ask who you have your Insurance with?

Ah sorry I see it now!
Do they cover bad weather cancellation? I couldn't see that listed when I got a quote.

I rang them as I wanted to discuss alex medical condition and wanted to make sure we where covered in case we couldn't get there because of snow etc all covered.
I would ring see what the price is like

Thank you but I've looked into it in more detail and can see you are covered if you miss your transport there due to severe weather :thumbsup2
Doesn't saw what happens if weather is so bad holiday get cancelled by them ... but then it said on their site that as so much is covered bad weather doesn't affect them so should be fine :)

Thanks for your help :)

You might want to check with your bank if you have an account with a service charge as you might already have travel insurance with it.

We have a Halifax Rewards Account and that includes multi trip travel insurance.
