The open window for DH's insurance enrollment finally came around! YAY we have insurance again, right?! Well, who knows? We signed up for it,we dealt with everyone we had to and we were TOLD we have it. Then,DH gets his check and nothing is taken out for it. I call and talk to HR about the ins not being deducted. OOPS they forgot to take it out. It will all come out of the next pay:sad2: but WE DO in fact have the insurance. Good, we have insurance...oh wait not so fast. The system is showing that DS and myself are covered by "other insurance" so this is our secondary insurance :confused3 We stated that we have no other insurance. OH, well this will be taken care of. Ok so we have insurance PHEW...well, yes,but my NAME is spelled incorrectly. This will need to be taken care of so there are no questions or issues. Don't worry it has all been changed, except not. I just looked up the info that was corrected only to find that they rearranged a few things and STILL managed to screw it all up! UGH I hate dealing with these people:crazy2:

Is it really this hard to type in a name? REALLY?

i feel for you.

we went through 6 months of trying to get the h/r for the employer i retired from to stop messing with our enrollment. when we moved from one state to another i had to change plans (original plan does'nt exist up here). h/r would change it and then for some reason change it back. i was getting double sets of insurance cards monthly-and then of course when i had the right coverage by the time the provider billed it would be flipped back to the wrong so the bill would bounce:scared:

the kicker was everytime they changed it back it would change the withholdings on my pension check so it was months of underpayments according to their accounting system (new plan costs more)-but the same system would keep kicking me out supplementary checks because for a few days each month it looked like i had the less costly plan:faint:

i was alerted to one issue when i took ds to the pediatrician-the clerk at the desk looked at me and asked how many years someone had to work at my employer's before they were entitled to retirement based health coverage-i responded '15'. she looked at ds and said 'i'm realy impressed-you had to have been hired there 5 years before you were born'-one of the h/r people had recoded my son as the 'retiree' and myself as his dependant:sad2:

The problem is with the HR department at your husband's place of employment, not the insurance company...

With the exception of the money not being withheld, most of the issues are with the insurance company directly. They actually prefer to deal with the employees direct as opposed to going through HR. The HR woman in DH's office has been trying nonstop to get through to them as well and has had no luck. I just received an email from the rep that told me everything had been taken care of in the first place. He said he will look into it again and find out what is going on. Now it's just a wait and see.
