Ok - we have been before and had a major problem due to the pump. Need help for the next visit.

My DD has a minimed pump (very old type don't think they are used anymore in USA but still the main ones here in the UK) that must be removed for any thrill ride involving magnets also for any jery/free fall rides - This is not optional as her last one boke with an error message that only happens if near a magnetic field - It was replaced free but we were told that they will not replace it for free again.

Now she can only stay off for up to 1hr before her sugars rise too much. Is there a guest assistance card that would allow her to get a time to ride so that she can take the pump off and put in a locker but not be disconnected for too long - She is going with her younger sister for their first adult free trip - I do not want her younger sister to have to deal with any major problems.

Has anyone got help for this sort of issue.

Went with my Minimed 2 years ago.
I was staying on side and had FOTL but I always put my pump in the lockers.
When the line was long I did as I do when I take my pump off for a period of time and gave myself 0.5 units(note that is what works for me, you will have to talk to your daughter´s doctor).
Also for me all the walking and the heat meant that I had lower sugars.
Candy on hand at all times ;)
If you have anymore question I am welcome to answer
Diabetic type 1 since 7 years old :)
