Is it me, or did Lucille Ball's voice get more "raspy munchkin-like" in her later years?

Definitely a different voice than in her "I Love Lucy" days.

Smoker's voice plus the normal voice changes of aging. The longer you smoke the more raspy it gets.

Yeah - that is definetly something that I noticed watching her later stuff. I couldn't get into the Lucy Show the way I adored her in I Love Lucy. Her raspy voice grated on me!

(btw, I LOVE the movie - Yours, Mine & Ours!)

I was thinking the same thing... that her voice sounded like a smokers voice.. too bad!

I watched a good portion of the move tonight and just laughed all the way through it.

yes it did, must have been all those cigarettes she smoked. You can definitely tell the difference if you watch "The Lucy Show," compared to I Love Lucy, it's much raspier.
