Inspired by thread on rides becoming movies...

Tonight after seeing POC, my 12 yo ds and I had a discussion on what other rides we could see being made into movies. I thought Alien Encounter would make a cool sci-fi thriller. He thought It's a Small World would be a great horror movie. (To all you IASW fans, he was joking...well, sorta.)

What others can you think of?

I definitely like the idea of Alien Encounter being turned into a sci-fi thriller.

I do think that IASW would make a wonderful animated feature, especially for small kids. Of course, they wouldn't have to sing the song through the entire movie.

I think Disney Channel could make a fun family movie using either BB or TL as a backdrop. "Mystery at Typhoon Lagoon" or something. Maybe have some bumbling crooks trying to hide out in the water park, all the while dodging the people who are trying to find them - and accidentaly falling into the lazy river and stuff like that.

I think IASW would make a wonderful thriller! All these little dolls coming alive..... well- you get the picture! For me, that ride is a nightmare anyway!

They could probably base a movie around the Mission Space ride at EPCOT.

LOL! I was going to post something similar yesterday, but never got around to it!

I'm sure they could come up with something like:

Adventure on Big Thunder Mountain
or
Journey to Space Mountain

I think the alien one would be great, too!

And as the poster in the other thread mentioned, Caroussel of Progress...there have to be some skeletons in the closets of that family that would make a great soap opera! LOL!

Lots of possibilities here...that I hope don't go anywhere! Ha ha!

Actually, Jungle Cruise is based on a movie. I don't remember the title, however.

I read that JC was based loosely on "The African Lion". I think a new movie could be done, though. Maybe a comedy to go along with all the corny jokes!

Don't forget that the one to start it all was:

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror with Steve Guttenberg. My DH loves that movie. The only problem is that it was a made for TV movie.

I agree with grinningghost about the use of BB. Maybe an animated short about the story behind BB. A freak snowstorm. They could show that happening, and then after the meltdown.

We asked this question while waiting in line for Pirates (go see it twice - it's good). The Enchanted Tiki Birds seemed like it would be a challenge for script writers. Can't do worse than Country Bears.

BB would be cool! like all the backstory stuff

I really wanna see the HM movie, I love that ride!

me and my slow self was gonna say Splash Mtn. but then I realized they have one but we just aren't allowed to see it! GRRRR!
