Just curious. I did once. I will share the story later.

Ya know, I almost posted this thread just a few minutes ago LOL. I used one just once too. I never really "believed," but was very intrigued and curious. It was probably about 10 years ago, that thing scared the you know what out of me and I haven't touched one since. But I admit, I'm kinda into trying it again, if the surroundings were right, and I've had another beer or two :p

I must be reading your mind!

(Twilight Zone theme here.)

I was about 16 when I used it. First I was with a big group of girlfriends (it was a slumber party, of course) and one girl was making it move, and making it say things like "lick me" etc.

Later, though, me and a younger girl (14 or so) went and used it. It really scared me. I knew this girl was not making it spell out, because she was a little ditzy. Anyway, it said he had lived in Texas. I asked if he would tell me how he died, and it immediately went to no. I asked why, and it spelled out female. We sat there, wondering for a second, and then it hit me. I said, "You won't tell us because we're female?" Before I finished the sentence, it moved to yes.

That was it. I don't even remember it telling us his name...but it scared me pretty well!!

I thought a Ouija was used by everyone in the 70's. I was just a kid then, but I remember we'd get it out. I thought it was kinda dumb though. My brothers and my dad's friends' ds's would try to scare me with it. I was unscarable.:teeth: Plus I could tell they were moving the thing purposely.:teeth: I dont' believe in that stuff.

I always wanted to try one, just for fun.

I think I might have had one..or my older sister. It never moved unless we pushed it. Or, maybe we never gave it a chance before we were moving it to the answer we wanted :)

It was really big when I was about 12 or 13....which would have made it the late 60's...early 70's. Don't remember too much scary stuff but I'm sure there was some...we used it during sleepovers, camping...ripe for scary happenings.

However, once I saw The Exorcist...I NEVER picked up a OUIJA BOARD again!!!!

I used to play this with friends at slumber parties and stuff when we were younger. When you get a group of young teenage girls together you can really freak yourselves out!!! :) :) :)

I remember one time we had been playing the game Nightmare (anyone remember this?? it was a board game that you played along with watching a video tape) in the dark with only some candles and the TV light and then switched to the Ouija board. I don't remember most of what the board said, but I do remember it saying something about the oven hurting us if we cooked something....stupid I know, but we were all terrified to go near the oven...we finally had to dare someone to go and open it  :)

My 2 best friends and I used to play with one when we were in high school. We had a few really scary things happen and I haven't touched one since.

My friends and I used to use that board all the time. I remember once we went over to a friends house where they claimed the house was haunted and played the board and weird things really did happen, at least we thought. There was this one time with one of my friends were we really got into it and had experienced something very strange. No one believed us after it happened, but to the day we still laugh about the fun we had over that one.

I had one when I was a kid, but whenever I tried to play with it, nothing happened. I haven't messed with one since.

I'm with Penny, after the Excorist there was NO WAY I was ever going to touch a Ouija board!

NOPE!!! I totally believe there are both good and evil things floating around this world, so I NEVER would touch one. Everytime I spent the night with a certain friend, I wouldn't even go near her closet because I knew it was right there on the shelf.

DO NOT , I REPEAT DO NOT USE A OUIJA BOARD. I did use one when I was young and stupid and a couple of things came true. These were things that I had no way of even knowing bout and names of people that I later met. I am interested in much that has to do with life after death and have read many books on the topic. The one common thread that has run through everything that psychics say is a OUIJA opens you up to troublesome spirits. I do not know whether I believe or not but after both reading and seeing the Exorcist there is no way I would ever use it again. If you are interested in this topic read books by Sylvia Brown, or John Edward.

NO, but now I'm all freaked out, sitting her by myself in the dark at midnight! LOL.

Yes we got one for Christmas one year.

My two sisters and I played with it alot. I asked it one time what I was going to be when I grew up - It said Q of S.

My sisters used to tease me that I was going to be the Queen of Spain. LOL

I burned my tarot cards and ripped apart the ouija board...any other questions? It's dangerous territory and that's all I have to say about that. ;)
