I was on a commuter train out of NYC once and had my then six-year-old DD with me. It was crowded at rush hour so we had to sit in a 'three-seater' - me, DD, and cell-phone-talking stranger. He spoke very loudly to a girlfriend - with way too many lovey-dovey adult topics. And....... he was immune to my serious mommy-death-stare! I was just about to try to change seats when he says to the other person: "I CAN'T get home now. I am still at work and I'll be stuck here for a while." My DD piped up loudly, 'Oooh, Mommy. He's bad. He's telling a lie. He's not at work. He's on the train." Next thing I know, he is yelling into the phone - "Wait, honey. Don't hang up!"
