I just love appetizers. I usually make the same ol pigs in a blanket but would love any recipes or ideas for other ones.

What kinds are you looking for?

I did an entire Appetizer Party for my mom's surprise retirement party. Here is the menu, let me know ifyou want any of the specific recipes

Baked Ham (with finger rolls, and 5 or 6 diff mustards)
Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Italian Meatballs
Broccoli Cheddar Bundles
Mushroom Suffing Balls
Ginger Chicken Bacon Bites
Italian Bread and Flavored Olive Oil for dipping
Spinach and Feta in Puff Pastry

I know there was more, but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head.....

I was watching Paula's Home Cooking on the Food Network the other day. She made Bacon Wrapped Breadsticks and I'd love to give them a try someday.

Bacon Wrapped Breadsticks

1 cup grated Parmesan
2 teaspoons garlic salt or powder
12 slices bacon
24 (4 1/2-inch) long sesame breadsticks (1 package)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the Parmesan with garlic salt and set aside. Cut the bacon slices in half so they are approximately 5-inches long. Wrap each bread stick with 1 slice of bacon, starting at 1 end and ending at the other. Place wrapped bread sticks on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is browned. Remove from oven and immediately roll bread sticks in cheese mixture. Let cool and serve at room temperature.

For some reason, on the show, she was using breadsticks that were much longer than the 4 1/2" mentioned in this recipe, and was wrapping a full length bacon strip onto them, not cutting the bacon in half. She said to use sesame breadsticks because the bacon stuck to them better.

We had some awesome appetizers on the Recipe board .come on over and use the search function

we would love to have you

There is a recipe board on the DIS? Are you kidding me?! How could I, the queen of cookbooks, NOT know that?

one of my favorites and it's EASY!

1 brick of 1/3 less fat cream cheese (or could use neufchatel), softened
1 can shredded crab meat
cocktail sauce

use a hand mixer to mix crabmeat, cream cheese and a 1/2 c of cocktail sauce. garnish with extra cocktail sauce and serve with ritz crackers.
