I have to have complete darkness (no TV) and a fan blowing. I even take a fan on my trips to help block out strange noises.:cat:

Very dark. And this is a weird one, but I have to have my police scanner on to fall asleep.

Totally dark, totally quiet, a very soft and fluffy comforter and good sheets.

DH said he could fall asleep to the sound of the sprinklers because he grew up listening to that. Which is probably why I like total silence, I grew up in the middle of the forest :)

Must have small night light, noise machine and it must be COLD!::yes:: I like to snuggle under tons of covers. I almost forgot - I must have flannel sheets, I just can't sleep without them ( I REALLY do suffer at WDW in the sleep dept.)

I have to fall asleep with the TV on. DH has to have the fan, both the ceiling fan and an oscilating floor fan. Also, we live right in the heart of the city, so you've got the outside city noises. Whenever we go away to somewhere quiet on vacation neither of us sleep well, we're so used to sleeping with noise.

And then there is the issue of sheets. I cannot sleep on sheets that are not white cotton. No stripes, no patterns, no colors, no other fabric but cotton. I also have to have my white down comforter wherever we go. We always have our linen luggage when we travel. DH (my own personal bellhop) ain't too happy about it, but after almost 18 years of marriage, he's given into it. :p

I have to sleep on the floor of my tent with my flashlight nearby....all those noises in the jungle can make a man jumpy....but after a while you get used to it...until those darned monkey's come and tear up camp....no respect for anything I tell you! no respect! :p

DH and I like to have it cool and dark. We also sleep with a fan blowing year-round. Neither of us sleeps well in silence.

No snoring from Dh!!! LOL I need some sort of noise but not that!! I like a fan or airconditioner!!!

These days, my ideal would be a bed with a hole in it! I'm a stomach sleeper who is currently 33 weeks pregnant - I keep trying to make a pile of pillows with a hole in the middle for my belly!

Quiet and dark, but DH would prefer to fall asleep with the TV on, which I can't do. I also need my feet to be covered by the sheet at all times, and DH likes to pull and twist the sheet and totally destroy my sheet-feet ratio.

Dh is one who likes to have the blankets wrapped around him, so now we have separate blankets that we use. Some think it's very strange, but it's easier than waking up totally uncovered and cold in the middle of the night and trying to win back some of the blankets!

I'm a stomach sleeper too. I need it to be COLD and I need the noise of a fan or air cleaner. I absolutely cannot sleep in dead silence.

I prefer the dark but we have a street light in front of our house and it shines into our house thru the large picture window above the front door (not covered). This helps when our DS (2 yrs) get up in the middle of the night. Which is why I don't get enough sleep. Dh and I have seperate sheets/blankets.

Happy Thoughts to all,

I have to have complete darkness and no sound of any kind. A fan, a fridge running, a tv on; don't go to sleep until they are off!

I like the ceiling fan on (unless it is cold), the tv on, and DH on his tummy so he doesn't snore.

DH likes the TV off, the fan on, and on his back so he can assure I'm up all night. ;)

He gets to snore and I get the TV on. Compromise is the heart of a good marriage right? :)
