I designed the tattoo that I was supposed to get. It was a bluebird, and it was going on my hip. I got all the way to the tattoo place and chickened out. That was almost 20 years ago, and now I have no desire to get a tattoo.

I ended up giving my design to my girlfriend, who proudly wears my art on her shoulder. I also designed my husband's tattoo, a dragon. He likes the design but hates having a tattoo.

There are enough pretty temporary tattoos to suit my need for art.

I wouldn't ever get a permanant one, but just for fun to answer the question, if I were to decide to get one for some reason, I'd probably like either a butterfly or rose.

The closest I'll ever come to it, though, are the temporaries.

But I'm too much of a wimp about pain to get it though.

I wouldn't get a tattoo - but since we're talking hypothetically - I like Blondie's idea of Tinkerbell!

I went to get a tattoo once. I was going to get a tatoo of a peace sign, a real pretty one, on the top of my foot, between my big toe and the toe next to it. The artist said he wouldn't do it because it would hurt too much, but if I had other tattoos he would do it??????

Any way, I would get a palm tree or a pair of lips on my butt. Right cheek. I may still get the lips on my butt, dunno though. Tulips on my butt might be okay too.

A butterfly on the ankle would be pretty.

Saffron, he would do the tatoo if you had others because you would have an idea of how much it might hurt. I have a friend who has a small, simple flower on her calf. The tatoo artist had to stop before it was finished because it was too painful for her.

Well I have three and none of them hurt much at all. The guy who does mine says that if you get it where there isn't much skin, just bone, that it can hurt like hell. So the more skin you have where you are getting it, the less it hurts.

I would love a Beauty and the Beast, possibly on my left shoulder. I dunno though, we will see.
