For starters:

The cast of Lost
Hugh Laurie
Jason Lee

The only two shows I watch--Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.

Lauren Graham really deserves an Emmy.

In addition to some others named, Desperate Housewives

How I Met Your Mother (and the cast)

Prison Break (and the cast)

And they nominate people from 24 and don't include Cloe?

DH wasn't robbed, they threw it away.

Lost was robbed, they kept the same quality from the first year and Terry O'Quinn and Evangeline Lilly deserved a nomination for sure.

Comedy wise, Michael Rappaport of War at Home is as good as Archie from All In The Family.

At first I was really ticked because Gilmore Girls didn't get any but then I rethought this past season and thought, no the show just wasn't what it usually is...they tried getting it back the last couple of episodes but by then it was too late!
Hopefully next season they will have the show "back on track" and up for Emmys--including one for Lauren

The only thing that stood out to me was the lack of Hugh Laurie. He was most definitley robbed!

The first thing that came to mind was Jason Lee and My Name Is Earl.

Bradley Whitford from "West Wing". He deserved the nom. much more than Alan Alda did for that series.

Dwight from the Office as best supporting actor in comedy, and Pam from the Office as best supporting actress. The Office cast for best comedy ensemble. I love Steve Carrell and was happy he won last year, and happy to see him get the nod again, but its the supporting cast that makes that show the funniest thing on tv.

I agree with a lot of you, esp. re: cast of Lost, Lauren Graham, Kristen Bell, etc. The one that really chaps me is Guest Star in a Drama. Kyle Chandler from Grey's Anatomy. But not Jeffery Dean Morgan (Denny Duquette). I liked Kyle Chandler in his role (he played the bomb squad guy that blew up in the end) but that was not a showcase role. I mean, he didn't even have that much to do. I don't understand how that shone through to the Emmy voters enough to get a nom???

I swear, I think they will figure out a way to nominate West Wing and Will & Grace 3 years after they've been off the air.

I said the same thing about the Odd Couple, then Mary Tyler Moore, then MASH, then Cheers, then Frasier. I guess every era has it's show!

Really robbed? Battlestar Galactica. But nothing on the SciFi Channel will ever get nominated, so....

Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard (House)!! Also Bradley Whitford and Janel Moloney (The West Wint)!! Katherine Heigl (Izzie grew amazingly as a character this season)!! As much as I LOVE/ADORE/WORSHIP The West Wing I don't think Allison Janney deserved one this year and Bradley Whitford or Jimmy Smits deserved it more than Alan Alda!

Edie Falco. I know she's won several already but her performances (as Carmela Soprano) in the early episodes of the most recent season when Tony was in the hospital were some of the most amazing acting I've ever seen on television.

And for those who think that The West Wing shouldn't have received nominations because it's been around for so long, I just wanted to say that Martin Sheen has actually never won an Emmy for his magnificent portrayal of President Josiah Bartlet. He's been nominated before and has won Golden Globes and SAG's but not the Emmy. I'm truly hoping that the Emmy voters see fit to finally award it to him this year.

Hugh Laurie wasn't nominated???? How is that POSSIBLE??

:sad1:
