Just a curious question...

What do put salt on?

I put it on just about anything... I'm a salt junkie. I even put it on apples, mango, watermelon. I also put it on white rice cause I can't stand the taste of plain rice.

So... what food items do you salt?:)

Just about everything...and pretty heavily too.....EXCEPT for fruit of any kind. My sister used to love it on apples....I just can't stand it. I even have 2 little salt shakers (from Tupperware) in my purse at all times!!!! I really am a "salt-a-holic"!!!!!

Forgot to add....I never taste before I salt either.

I always like to add it to steak, white rice and I always have loads on my chips (french fries). I'll add it to anything savoury if it needs it!

Beef, eggs, tomatoes, buttered breads, pasta. Never on pork products. Have not considered for fruit.

Glad to see I am not alone, Lisa L. I too, carry salt with me. I purchased 1200 packets from SAM's Club awhile back and now I always have 2-3 packets with me wherever I go.

Scrambled eggs and that's it.

I used to use salt on everything -- especially pizza. I couldn't eat it without. Then I met DH, Mr. Healthy as a Horse, and he would remind me it's wasn't a good thing to do.

I've learned to live without it, but have also learned to not look at DH when we are having scrambled eggs.;)

taters, grits and eggs

Hardly anything, I know adding salt isn't good for me.
I do like salt on my French fries, and popcorn, and eggs but that's about it I think. DH, on the other hand, salts just about everything and without even tasting it first. Tossed salad, pizza, pumpkin pie, potatoes and gravy, meat, veggies, etc. etc. Not good for him. I fuss at him, but it doesn't do much good. :(

I salt everything. It drives my husband crazy when I put salt on my watermelon, canteloupe and grapefruit :)

I put salt on mashed potatos, and that's it.

I salt EVERYTHING.
My usual late night snack is a bowl of lettuce...salted

With the exception of having a recipe call for it, I really don't salt a lot of things now that I sit down and think about it. When I have eggs (once in a blue moon) I salt them; I salt french fries that I bake at home (the restaurant kind usually have plenty on them); I salt homemade popcorn. That's about it!

I have to have salt on fresh tomatoes and eggs. I can do without on just about everything else, but I will use it on very tart fruit to cut the sour taste.

I have a friend who puts salt on EVERYTHING including cheese. I have never seen anyone else put salt on cheese.

I am not a big salt person, I usually only use it when cooking a recipe that calls for it. But there is one food that I absolutely have to salt before eating it and that is spinach.

I thought of something else I moderately salt----steamed veggies.
