Inspired by Connecting with Walt-Kansas City

Living and working in Kansas City doesn't make visiting Disney Parks convenient, but its great to live in a city with so much history connected to Walt Disney. I recently listened to Michael (@Merry Mousketeer) and Craig's (@Teleclashter) episode about Laugh O Gram studios in KC,MO so I was inspired to visit. Here is a picture of the studio today. A KC based organization called "thankyouwaltdisney.org" is trying to refurbish this site into a museum. Interesting stuff, thanks Connecting with Walt, I love the podcast!

We were visiting family in Kansas City in July of 2015 and had to make a stop at the Laugh O Gram studios. It was so cool to see where it all started.

As a Kansas City man this building always makes me sad. I give to the thankyouwaltdisney people when I see them but I wish there was a way to team up with the Disney corp. and fix this.

I live in Kansas City, and I don't know why I haven't made it over there to see it in the 5 1/2 years I have lived here. I have heard that it's not in a great area of town which has been part of my decision.

Not so much anymore. It's just off the Crossroads District which is picking up steam. Wish there could be something more robust done with the space!

WHAT! I just looked up where it is at, and it is literally right by the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts! I have been there way to many times to count, and I had no idea it was there! I am definitely going by it next time I'm there!

I realized exactly what I was thinking when I said, "that it is not in a great area of town." I was thinking of Walt's home in KC. I will definitely drive by the studio next time I'm in downtown.
