OK how am I to act onboard ship? Do I need to act reserved or can I let go? Please oh please tell me to relax and not worry about embarassing my kid - lol. Im not one to get up and join the dance line - although I did last year on NCL up on the pool deck. You guys all think Im a goofball anyways so I may as well go with it! I have maracas for tropical night, tropical beads for Parrot Cay, red/white/blue beads for Small World. Im planning on getting involved in the party atmosphere.

But will I be the only one? Want to join me?

Have a great time being yourself! You won't embarrass your kids unless they are teenagers - then EVERYTHING you do embarrasses them.

i was going to answer that i act reserved because that's the way i am...
but then you defined getting up and dancing as being a goofball...
i got up and danced....together with my 18 year old daughter...
we danced in the clubs....we danced at the deck party....
you define that as acting wild????...
you must live in a VERY VERY VERY VERY conservative place....

I am definately more outgoing onboard than I am at home. I love getting up to dance, cheering on contestants in the game shows, getting involved in all the activities. I speak up and talk to more stangers onboard than I do at home also. I think it must be the common thread of a love for Disney. Most people are onboard because they really like Disney and you can always strike up a conversation about the beauty of the ship!!!

We acted like complete goofballs all week on the ship! Some of that time we were actually sober too! ;)

You know you're being outgoing when the entertainment staff knows you by your first name by Tuesday!!!

Let loose, have fun...it's a vacation.

Let loose, have fun - and anyway - just being on the planet and breathing can be enough to embarass the kids so why worry. Life's too short.

LET LOOSE AND HAVE A BLAST!!!
When we are on vacation, we enjoy ourselves to the fullest, even if it means getting a little silly. I have been "Gloria Gaynor" (prior to my knee injury...can't dance like that anymore) and hubby has been a "Village Person" in front of a huge crowd. We've participated in the improv, been contestants on Match Your Mate, and I've even ben a demo person for one of the spa treatments (I'm an exhibitionist anyway, and I'll do just about anything for a free spa treatment!). And I won't even go into hubby's wild dancing at the Nassau deck party after he'd had a bit too much too drink...he gets drunk maybe once every 5 years, but when he does, it's a riot. Wave those napkins in Parrot Cay, scream and yell and stamp your feet for your servers in Animators, ham it up with the characters, blow some bubbles at the sailaway (bringing extra bottles to pass out to kids makes it even more fun) and have a great time...that's what it's all about.
