Becky,
Have you been garage sale-ing for baby stuff? I remember when I was trying the first time, I did buy some stuff, but I insisted on new for some things - like the crib.
I didn't want to jinx it, but couldn't help myself
I have been looking a little bit. So far I bought two books for a quarter a piece..
But mostly we'll probably get new stuff. Definitely a new crib. I might see about a changing table at a garage-sale; seems silly to pay a lot for something that you won't use very long (in the great span of things).
DH has a huge family, so I'm sure I'll make out ok at my baby shower, whenever that will be. Guess I should get pg first.
ANd, we have set up an extra checking account just for baby expenses that we are putting money into... That should help us out by the time we get to the point that we need to buy a crib, stroller, car seat, and all the extra stuff we'll need.
Oh my, I am going to sign off before I take every stinking test there is! As if I don't goof around enough on the DIS.
I have an assignment that needs to be corrected and resubmitted and here I sit on the DIS...and blogthings! Tonight's a wash, so I am going to bed, hehe
ok.. if someone had some serious disney vacation info questions, and were to ask them on this thread would it still be OT??? would that constitute thread hi jacking? inquireing minds wanna know
OK, Hot Monkey Love, I'll bet you do better than a loaf of flippin bread. How much you got?
I love kittens! (After a while. When they're brand new, looking like slimy mice, not so much.)
Beck, do the garage sales! You have no clue what kids cost. If I added up the total I spent on Power Ranger toys ALONE, I could feed a small country.
And I'm quite sure Sylvester wasn't 17. Although he had his moments! I miss him around here. I got quite an edumacation re: corn. I had a dream about him once too. I get killed a lot in my dreams, but the people with me always die first. Sylvester was there, and got killed just before me.
And I'm glad I got to have a baby girl in your dream- I'd rather be knocked up than knocked off!
And you're right- I don't have a clue what this kid is going to cost. It should definitely be an eye-opener. My SIL had her first appt with the Dr, and they did their thing, then took her downstairs to billing and had her set up a payment plan for the appts and delivery! Already! She's only 7 weeks- the baby is the size of a pea, and it's already costing her money!!!
