For anyone that has taken their kiddos for the Inspire testing at the Raddison or MCO, how long did it take to get your results? Also silly question- did they have an age minimum requirement? (I have a two year old). Thanks!

I'm taking a 14 month old very soon, have not heard anything about age requirement, so we shall see how it goes and how long it takes.

Just got done testing, no issue with 14 month old. Results should come back in a couple of hours.

We did the inspire testing at the holiday inn in Miami, which I’m guessing would be a similar turn around time to the raddison or MCO. We did the tests at 3 in the afternoon, the lab was closed the next day for a holiday, and we had the results before noon the next morning. So we would have had them within 24 hours if it wasn’t for the holiday.

How much does this cost? Just wondering if it’s cost effective to test the day before at MCO since I’m flying in the day before.

I thought I saw something about allowing 24-48 hours to get your results back, which would be pointless for pre-cruise testing (as opposed to testing at the port), since there would be a chance you wouldn't get your results in time and not be able to board.

I think the rate that Disney has contracted with them is $98 and some change but I could be wrong.

Are you thinking of the mail in option or the in person testing at the Sheraton MCO or Raddison at Port Canaveral? I believe they have quicker turnaround times (which the people above have confirmed).

We got our results back an hour later. So even quicker at MCO
That’s awesome, thanks for the update. We are going to be in Florida for the 4 days before our cruise so I am trying to see if it’s worth a couple hour detour to have my 2 year old test in Orlando. Having a hard time finding dependable options that will get results quickly in the St Pete area that will also test on a 2 year old🤦‍♀️

There was also something about allowing testing by "independents" but it didn't say which ones. I'd hate to spend the money on the wrong provider.

True, but there's no guarantee to get the results unless you test 48 hours before. Doesn't DCL require the test to be within 24 hours? It's confusing as to why they'd offer a test that could take longer than what would be useful for your trip.

No, this is pre-trip testing for unvaccinated guests (now just young children) which must be done 24 hours up to 3 days prior. All passengers are tested by DCL (Inspire Diagnostics) at embarkation, which is a 2nd test for the little ones.

Oh. I was thinking we (all vaccinated) could get this done the day before and not get shocked at the port if someone tests positive. It would just alleviate the stress of testing at the port. But if that's not allowed, I'll keep my money. :)

Also, is anyone getting a "just in case you were asymptomatic" test done around the 15 day mark? We don't think we've been sick, but these stories of people who are asymptomatic and the test catches it at the port has me spooked.
