Insider Info? Maybe Meet & Greet? 8/26-9/1

My son Evan is 17 and is so-o-o interested and excited to do the career start program right after high school! He's not sure what he wants to do in college yet, so I think going with Disney is an awesome idea.

We're going to be in WDW in a few days 8/26-9/1 and I'm wondering if there is anyone on either the CS or the CP program who could maybe spend a little bit of their time telling Evan what they think of the program? That would be fantastic.

We are about as far away as you can get from WDW and still be in the States, so I want him to understand the program and talk to a real live person (or persons!) to get a good viewpoint of the whole experience before we pack him up and send him across the country after he graduates.

It's a Mom thing.

We're going to be staying at POP and our schedule is really flexible as its just the two of us this trip. We're only tied to our ADR's so I'm sure Evan could meet you at just about any time and place.

I'd love to hear from you by post or PM. We're leaving Monday night but I can have my daughter check the Dis for responses.

I'll be applying for the Spring session. But, on top of meeting with a student or two, you can even ask anyone that works at the Disney Resort, even when you check-in to see if they are a part of the programs. I'm sure you'll meet a lot of CS and CP students. That may surprise your son. I bet everyone will say it's an amazing experience and will encourage him to apply!

Im still here and would be more than happy to discuss it with him.

My experience and information wouldnt be all positive like some peoples would, but at least it would be honest. I live with a few other females that could also share their point of view.

Many positive things come with the program, its just all about expectations.

Feel free to ask any of the college CM's that are working while down in FL how they are liking their experience too! You'll be able to recognize them because it will say their college/university on their nametag!

You can PM me with any questions. I was FullTime and now an Seasonal so I didn't do the program but my best friend is a Campus Rep, some of my other close friends did the CP and my fiance did the IP so I have a pretty rounded view of it all... and I know at least what it's like working for Disney
